Intuitive Task Force

Purpose: "To offer our intuitive skills in the investigation of open cases, assisting law enforcement groups, community agencies, families and friends of victims."

This unique service is provided through Creative Community Institute, Inc., and founded by Carol Ann Liaros. Originally ITF focused on locating missing children, but in February, 2001, it broadened its scope to include other types of open police cases.

Each member determines his/her competencies in acquiring specific information relating to each case, and uses these intuitive tools to help compile the information through the group coordinator. A detailed summary is then forwarded to the individual or agency requesting assistance. ITF does not charge for its services, but does request feedback on each case. Contact C.C.I. for more information at (716) 876-4414, or 1966 Niagara Street, Buffalo, New York 14207.

"Intuitive Task Force" by Nancy Vann and Jeycea Thompson

For many years, Carol Ann Liaros had a dream to assemble a team of Intuitives to use their variety of specialties or talents for a common good. Several years ago she made the dream a reality and formed the Intuitive Task Force (ITF) with eleven members. Their specialties in acquiring the information exercise a variety of intuitive tools, like psychometry, pendulum, and straight intuitive insight. The depth and detail of information acquired is enhanced by each person's affinity for a particular portion of the case (for example, were they more attuned to the victim, the perpetrator, geography, vehicles, etc.)

The Intuitives donate their time to work on cases throughout the year and also pay their own expenses to attend the Intuitive Task Force meetings. These meetings are held in February (Virginia Beach), May (Buffalo, NY) and November (Sedona, Arizona). These are held to review ITF processes, to status new and ongoing cases, to review or update specialty definition, and to handle administrative items, like Code of Ethics.

The initial mission of the Task Force was finding missing children. However, recently, the Task Force broadened their services to include open police cases. With services to be broadened, Carol Ann realized the need for more Intuititves to join the team and devised a strategy to invite new members to the team. She defined a workshop to provide the prerequisite for new members. The first workshop, Intuition in Police Work, was held in Buffalo in June 2000. In that workshop, many of the attendees applied to be members of the Task Force. In January 2001 eight new members were invited to join the team. The workshop provided the opportunity to work on actual cases and to define specialties an interests.

On February 22-23, 2001 the first Task Force meeting, with the new members in attendance, was held in Virginia Beach. This meeting was exceptionally exciting for all of us for a number of reasons. First, we were marrying the specialties of the new members, including mediumship as a source of information, with the specialties of the original team. Second, we were face-to-face in a positive team environment working on the cases, exchanging ideas and information, and discussing the application of specialties Thirdly, a detective from Norfolk, Virginia and the victim's family were were present to give their case. Later, a detective from North Carolina presented an open murder case for the team to work on. In each case, the detectives offered swift and positive feedback and interacted with us on our results. Thus, confirming the degree of success the new team of nineteen would be capable of achieving.

On May 16-17, 2001 (in Buffalo, NY) the Intuitive Task Force meeting was again a successful blending of a team of Intuitives with variety of specialties for a common good. The team effort, on the five police cases presented to us, proved valuable to police and the victim's families as well as to our team. Carol Ann continuously drives the team toward successful achievement of its goals. The meetings are always fun and the camaraderie among the members contributes to the success of the Task Force.

The original Intuitive Task Force includes Carol Ann Liaros, Ruby Gillion, Agatha Tutko, Don Arey, Mary Lou Arey, Cathy Good, Virginia Benderly, Jaynie Kowski, Barbara Holles, Cay Randall-May, and Paula Vaughn. New Members are Aliceia Leatherman, Tom Day, Judy Fritz, Jeycea Thompson, Nancy P. Vann, Sandra Moore, Lynn Armstrong, and Joan Wienczkowski.
